Lamb Patties with Roasted Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1-¼ pounds lean ground lamb
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1-½ cups finely chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1-teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • ½ cup canned Daily Pantry Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 pouch of Daily Pantry Roasted Mushroom Simmer Sauce

Directions

Place the lamb in a mixing bowl. Heat two tablespoons of oil is a skillet and add the onions and garlic—cook briefly and then add the cumin --blend well. Scrape the onion mixture into the lamb add bread crumbs, egg and blend well. Form patties –approximately 20 and set aside In a saucepan combine the tomatoes, white wine and Daily Pantry Roasted Mushroom Simmer Sauce and bring to a boil. Once the sauce has boiled set on a low simmer. In a non-stick skillet heat the remaining olive oil and cook the patties turning so they brown evenly---about 5 minutes Then put the patties in the sauce and simmer for about 10 minutes.
